The band honored The Prince Of Darkness last night at the Fox Theatre.<\/p>\n

The band used the opportunity to pay homage to Black Sabbath’s<\/a> Ozzy Osbourne<\/a> with multiple musical nods to The Prince Of Darkness, who died earlier this year<\/a>.<\/p>\n Dressed for the celebratory occasion, frontman Jim James<\/a>, guitarist Carl Broemel<\/a>, bassist Tom Blankenship<\/a>, drummer Patrick Hallahan<\/a> and keyboardist Bo Koster<\/a> set the tone for the evening by opening with Black Sabbath\u2019s \u201cBlack Sabbath.\u201d<\/p>\n Later in the set, MMJ played Black Sabbath\u2019s \u201cFairies Wear Boots,\u201d which they debuted last month<\/a> in Brooklyn. As they approached the end of the main set, James and his bandmates tagged \u201cSpring (Among the Living)\u201d with Osbourne\u2019s solo favorite \u201cMama, I\u2019m Coming Home.\u201d<\/p>\n The encore included a final gesture toward Ozzy Osbourne in the form of My Morning Jacket\u2019s first time covering his explosive song, \u201cCrazy Train.\u201d<\/p>\n \u201cThank you all for making our Halloween one for the books,\u201d My Morning Jacket shared on social media<\/a>. \u201cWe saw some amazing costumes out there last night.
