TEMPE, AZ \u2014 A man is in custody after police say he broke into a vacant home in Tempe in the University Heights area on Friday night.<\/p>\n

Officers were called around 8 p.m. after witnesses reported seeing people enter a fenced and boarded-up house.<\/p>\n

Police say one man refused to come out, leading officers to use chemical munitions to get him to surrender. He was later found hiding inside and arrested on burglary charges.<\/p>\n

No injuries were reported.<\/p>\n
