An American rock band has decided to cancel their U.S. tour due to a member of their band battling an illness.<\/p>\n
The Stray Cats<\/a> announced on their Instagram account that their fall cross country tour has been cancelled. Their guitarist, singer and songwriter Brian Setzer shared on the post<\/a> that he has a serious illness that is keeping him from performing. <\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019m heartbroken to share, due to serious illness, I am unable to perform and very regrettably have to cancel our Stray Cats tour. I know this affects so many people and I am devastated to have to deliver this news,\u201d Setzer said in the post.<\/p>\n \u201cI\u2019ve been trying everything I can to go on and do these shows, but it is just not possible. I\u2019ve been looking forward so much to being on stage with my band mates again and playing for all of our amazing fans, and I am gutted.\u201d<\/p>\n The post did not specify the illness Setzer is currently battling, but he revealed in February<\/a> that he had been diagnosed with an autoimmune disease that prevented him from playing guitar.<\/p>\n The tour was supposed to start Oct. 25 in Mount Pleasant Michigan and end Nov. 23 in Wheatland, California.
