However, the funding for such a program remains limited.<\/p>\n<p class=\"pb-2\">\u201cWhat we have wanted to do is pull together a coordinated, simultaneous program that addresses the major barriers to PrEP access that we hear about repeatedly from community members, one being the complexity of cost and coverage,\u201d Johnson said in an interview with Managed Healthcare Executive. \u201cWe did see the Biden administration call for such a program three years in a row and their budget request to Congress. We&#8217;ve not seen that request continue with the Trump administration.\u201d<\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\"m-auto absolute inset-0 max-w-[0%] max-h-[0%] border-[3px] border-solid border-white shadow-[0px_0px_8px_rgba(0,0,0,0.3)] box-border transition ease-in-out duration-500\" src=\"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/wp-content\/uploads\/2025\/07\/8a084a10ec0cb50f23c31153a1d23febbb5afb93-800x800.jpg\"\/><\/p>\n<p class=\"pb-2\">Johnson said that his organization was successful in getting the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to <a rel=\"nofollow noreferrer noopener\" target=\"_blank\" href=\"https:\/\/avac.org\/press-release\/national-prep-advocates-applaud-cdc-prep-pilot-launch\/\">study HIV prevention strategies<\/a> at five pilot sites across the United States.
