A Broadway gallery that connects Capitol Hill to Paris is celebrating its first year in the neighborhood and welcoming the work of an acclaimed French photographer for an important new show.<\/p>\n

Galerie Orsay Paris-Seattle will debut its exhibition from Herv\u00e9 Lass\u00efnce Thursday night and will feature the show from the Paris-based photographer through December 20th.<\/p>\n

\u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to bring Herv\u00e9\u2019s work to Seattle,\u201d said Simon Lhopiteau, owner of Galerie Orsay Paris-Seattle. \u201cHis photographs embody a quiet honesty and human tenderness that transcend cultures and geography. This exhibition connects Seattle\u2019s dynamic creative energy with the spirit of contemporary Paris.\u201d<\/p>\n

CHS visited in January<\/a> with Lhopiteau and the new Loveless Building gallery \u2014 an expansion of Lhopiteau\u2019s Paris gallery, which he opened in 2004.<\/p>\n

The Lass\u00efnce show, Lhopiteau says, celebrates a gay artist who has made a global impact with work that explores love, identity, and human connection and, now, an exhibition \u201cbridging two vibrant art scenes from Paris to Seattle.\u201d<\/p>\n
