\"Mortal<\/a><\/p>\n

Mortal Kombat Legacy Kollection<\/a> is an outstanding celebration of an iconic franchise, but hardcore players are beginning to raise complaints about the compilation\u2019s input lag on PS5.<\/p>\n

To be fair, despite Sony\u2019s console generally being preferred for fighting games, it\u2019s wrestled with higher-than-average input lag across various titles \u2013 both modern and retro.<\/p>\n

And testing from input lag expert Nigel Woodall<\/a> in Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3<\/a> reveals the PS5 introduces about ~108ms of lag. That\u2019s approximately six or seven frames.<\/p>\n

By comparison, the PC version has about ~22ms of lag, the Xbox Series X|S has about ~51ms of lag, and the Switch 2 version has about ~73ms of lag. So, the PS5 version is by far the least responsive, and this testing is apparently consistent across other titles in the collection, too.<\/p>\n

We appreciate all the #MKLK<\/a> feedback we’ve received, including audio and lag issues. We’re planning a hotfix that should address multiple issues, while others will require more time. Digital Eclipse, the developer, has already pushed out a hotfix on PC which it says fixes some audio issues. And it\u2019s now turning its attention to console.<\/p>\n

It wrote on X<\/a> (or Twitter<\/a>):<\/p>\n

The good news is that other fighters have managed to make dramatic improvements to input lag on PS5, so hopefully Digital Eclipse can reduce this number dramatically over the coming weeks.<\/p>\n

Personally, we still recommend the collection overall<\/a>, as we suspect it\u2019s only the most hardcore players who are going to be really bothered by the input lag.<\/p>\n

But clearly there\u2019s room for improvement, and we\u2019re hopeful the dev can address these issues fast.<\/p>\n
