Former Arkansas Razorbacks kicker Cam Little had missed a few opportunities in recent weeks. Confidence wavered from the outside, but inside the Jaguars locker room, belief never did. And on Sunday, that faith was rewarded.<\/p>\n
As the first half expired, Little drilled a 68-yard field goal, the longest in NFL history.<\/p>\n
\u201cI looked at it and thought, \u2018Crap, this is a 68-yarder,\u2019\u201d Little said. \u201cYou kick it long enough and straight enough, it\u2019s going to go in. I just told myself, \u2018I\u2019m going to hit this ball as hard as I can.\u2019 Usually when I tell myself that, I find success. So I just let it loose.\u201d<\/p>\n
The ball stayed true, clearing the crossbar as holder Logan Cooke raised his arms in celebration. \u201cOnce I saw it clear, that\u2019s when I knew it was good,\u201d Little said.<\/p>\n
