\n\tEXCLUSIVE: Quantify has boarded international sales rights to Nastasya Popov<\/a>\u2019s buzzy SXSW<\/a> comedy Idiotka<\/a> as it revs up for its debut at the American Film Market<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe film, which premiered to rave reviews at SXSW<\/a>, stars Anna Baryshnikov<\/a> and Camila Mendes<\/a>, with Julia Fox, Benito Skinner, Owen Thiele, Saweetie, Mark Ivanir and Galina Jovovich in supporting roles.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe\u2019re thrilled to partner with Quantify. Their team immediately understood that the film\u2019s humor and heart would resonate with an international audience,\u201d said Popov. \u201cWe hope the vibrant combination of fashion, reality TV, and familial dysfunction will move audiences to watch the movie on repeat.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBaryshnikov plays Margarita, a first-generation American fashion designer living with her extended \u00e9migr\u00e9 family. When her family faces a looming financial challenge, she enters a high-stakes reality TV competition to help out. As the competition intensifies, Margarita must decide how far she\u2019ll go for the cash prize and how much of her family\u2019s story she\u2019s willing to expose.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIdiotka had me laughing from start to finish, with heartfelt moments that hit close to home,\u201d said Itzchak Maghen, VP Worldwide Sales at Quantify. \u201cIt\u2019s a film I\u2019m confident will resonate with audiences and distributors around the globe.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tUtopia, which acquired North American rights<\/a> over the summer, is eyeing a theatrical release in early 2026.<\/p>\n

\n\tQuantify is gearing up for its first official outing at the AFM<\/a> having officially launched at Cannes\u00a0March\u00e9 du Film last May.<\/p>\n

\n\tFurther titles on its slate include erotic thriller Blurred, starring Alex Pettyfer and Guy Pearce; YA adventure The Queen\u2019s Jewels<\/a>, starring Carson Rowland, Katherine McNamara and Michael Evans Behling; and Bulgarian horror Samodiva<\/a>, featuring Jack Parr, Sophie Craig and Richard Brake.<\/p>\n

\n\tProducers on Idiotka include Tess Cohen and Popov of Virgo Films, Mendes and Rachel Matthews of Honor Role, and Saba Zerehi.
