The latest ATP Tour rankings for men’s singles were released on Monday, and the first two players won’t surprise anyone.<\/p>\n
Superstar Jannik Sinner is No. 1 after his wins at the Australian Open and Wimbledon this season, while Carlos Alcaraz comes in at No. 2, fresh off winning the U.S. Open and French Open. Long-time superstar Novak Djokovic is ranked fifth.<\/p>\n
Sinner vs. Alcaraz has become the dominant rivalry in the sport, to the point that no other player has won a Grand Slam in the past two years, with only Alexander Zverev (2025 Australian Open), Taylor Fritz (2024 U.S. Open) and Daniil Medvedev (2024 Australian Open) even cracking a Grand Slam final in that time. Sinner and Alcaraz have split those titles at four apiece, and Zverev was ranked No. 3 on Monday and Fritz was No. 4.<\/p>\n
Medvedev was not in the top 10.<\/p>\n
If you add Djokovic to the mix, no player outside of himself, Sinner or Alcaraz has won a Grand Slam title since Rafael Nadal conquered the 2022 French Open (Nadal also won the Australian Open that year). Between the 2022-23 seasons, Djokovic won four titles and Alcaraz won twice. <\/p>\n
Sinner, meanwhile, reclaimed his No. 1 ranking after winning the Rolex Paris Masters over the weekend, his fifth ATP Masters 1000 title.<\/p>\n
