In court documents obtained by PEOPLE on Monday, Nov. 3 and filed on Sept. 19, the pair agreed to a “confidential settlement” of the lawsuit Antin, 64, filed against Scherzinger, 47, in 2021.<\/p>\n
On Wednesday, Oct. 29, Scherzinger, 47, filed a request to dismiss the complaint with prejudice for “the entire action of all parties.”<\/p>\n
Legal representatives for Scherzinger and Antin declined to comment to PEOPLE.<\/p>\n
The latest update in the case comes one year after Scherzinger and Antin’s legal teams filed court documents stating they “reached a settlement in principle, subject to the execution of certain written agreements.”<\/p>\n
According to documents obtained by PEOPLE, the pair reached a tentative settlement in May, but asked for more time to iron out the details.<\/p>\n
By July, Antin\u2019s lawyer David Blau told the court that the women couldn’t figure out a deal, per documents obtained by PEOPLE.<\/p>\n
Blau requested that both Scherzinger and Antin be present for a hearing and reasoned that more time was needed because of “professional commitments” and the “multi-faceted structure and terms of the settlement.”<\/p>\n
Scherzinger claimed at the time she was busy with her Broadway show Sunset Blvd.<\/a><\/p>\n A trial-setting hearing had originally been slated for this month, but was not held.<\/p>\n In a complaint obtained by PEOPLE<\/a> in September 2021, Antin claimed that Scherzinger refused to participate in a reunion tour unless she received creative control and a larger portion of the group’s business venture.<\/p>\n In 2019, Antin and Scherzinger came to an agreement that awarded the singer 49% of Pussycat Dolls Worldwide’s shares and profits from the tour, per the documents.<\/p>\n The complaint claimed that Antin and Pussycat Dolls Worldwide “only agreed to transfer the shares to Scherzinger based upon Scherzinger’s promise to perform as part of the reunion tour.”<\/p>\n The relaunch of the Pussycat Dolls and the agreement seemed to be underway with a single released<\/a>\u00a0in late 2019 and\u00a0performed<\/a>\u00a0on\u00a0The X Factor UK\u00a0season finale in February 2020 and new tour dates<\/a>\u00a0announced in July 2020 after they were delayed during the ongoing\u00a0COVID-19 pandemic.<\/a><\/p>\n Dimitrios Kambouris\/Getty<\/p>\n Robin Antin and Nicole Scherzinger in February 2017 in Beverly Hills, Calif.<\/p>\n However, new dates for a European kickoff that May were listed as “To Be Confirmed<\/a>.”<\/p>\n According to the complaint, while she publicly affirmed “her participation, Scherzinger now refuses to participate in the reunion tour” and demanted Antin renegotiate their agreement.<\/p>\n Per the complaint, Scherzinger demanded of 75% PCD Worldwide in addition to “complete creative control” and “final decision-making authority.” She also allegedly threatened to not be a part of the tour unless her demands were met, the complain alleges.<\/p>\n “Tour dates were planned but are unable to be confirmed because of Scherzinger’s extortion,” the complaint claimed.<\/p>\n As a result, Live Nation requested the $600,000 it invested in the tour to be returned, per the complaint.<\/p>\n At the time, a legal representative for Scherzinger did not immediately respond to PEOPLE’s request for comment. But days later, Scherzinger’s lawyer, Howard King, shared a statement with PEOPLE calling Antin’s claims “ludicrous and false,” and alleged they “are a desperate attempt to divert blame for her own failures by trying to impose obligations on Nicole that simply do not exist.”<\/p>\n King also claimed that Scherzinger was not responsible for the $600,000 invested in the tour.<\/p>\n “Robin will fail in her efforts to trade on Nicole’s hard-earned success to pull herself out of a deep financial hole she has created by her own poor business and professional decisions,” he said in a statement at the time.<\/p>\n King’s statement continued: “Prior to Nicole’s involvement, trading on Nicole’s name without her consent, Robin borrowed (and spent) $600,000 from Live Nation that she won’t or can’t repay,” King claimed. “Nicole has invested her own funds in excess of $150,000 in support of a potential PCD reunion that has now been made impossible by Robin’s actions (including the public release of the group members’ confidential financial information).”<\/p>\n “Nicole loves and respects the PCD fans and hopes to one day be back on stage performing the group’s amazing hits for them,” his statement concluded. “Sadly, this will not happen under these circumstances.”<\/p>\n In 1995, the Pussycat Dolls were founded by Antin as a burlesque troop. By 2003, it transformed into a musical girl group after Antin landed a deal with Interscope Geffen A&M Records. The group featured Scherzinger,\u00a0Ashley Roberts<\/a>, Jessica Sutta,\u00a0Kimberly Wyatt<\/a>,\u00a0Carmit Bachar<\/a>\u00a0and\u00a0Melody Thornton<\/a>.<\/p>\n In 2009, the Pussycat Dolls disbanded, and Scherzinger went onto pursue a solo music career.
