Halloween is not the only holiday on Oct. 31. Former Alabama<\/a> head coach and current ESPN College GameDay analyst Nick Saban<\/a> celebrates a birthday, recently turning 74. But since Saban was in Salt Lake City over the week, usual birthday activities had to be delayed.<\/p>\n

So, on Sunday, with the entire family around, Saban got to blow out some candles on a birthday cake. Miss Terry led the way and got everyone to sing. Saban was watching the Buffalo Bills and Kansas City Chiefs at the time, lying back in his recliner with a blanket.<\/p>\n

Miss Terry quickly told him to sit up and enjoy the moment with everyone else. Overall, not a better way to spend a birthday \u2014 watching football with some cake around the family. You can check out the full moment, posted on Facebook by Kristen Saban, here<\/a>.<\/p>\n

During his coaching days in Tuscaloosa, Saban usually spent his birthday preparing for the LSU Tigers<\/a>. Alabama would routinely play the annual SEC West showdown in early November off a bye week. Saban had a great record against his former team, giving himself a great present.<\/p>\n

Last year and this year are a little different, though. Saban still might be inside Bryant-Denny Stadium to watch Alabama-LSU but his day will begin in Lubbock. ESPN College GameDay is highlighting the monster Big 12 matchup between the BYU Cougars<\/a> and Texas Tech Red Raiders<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Paul Finebaum makes Nick Saban, Lane Kiffin comparison amid coaching rumors<\/p>\n

You will not find a hotter name in the coaching world right now than Lane Kiffin. Multiple big-time programs are going after him \u2014 mainly Florida<\/a> and LSU. You have to imagine Ole Miss<\/a> is going to do whatever it takes to keep in Oxford, leading to Paul Finebaum to make a comparison between Kiffin and Saban.<\/p>\n

\u201cRight now, everyone in Oxford is saying, \u2018We don\u2019t bother Lane.\u2019 I mean, they\u2019re afraid of Lane. It\u2019s a little bit Saban-esque. They won\u2019t be afraid of him anywhere else,\u201d\u00a0Finebaum said<\/a>. \u201cDon\u2019t believe that Lane is not considering these jobs, OK? I mean, we know Lane. He\u2019s probably watching this right now, going, \u2018I wonder what they\u2019re saying about me right now.\u2019<\/p>\n

\u201cI can\u2019t tell you what he\u2019s going to do, but it\u2019s just a matter [of time]. I mean, Auburn came this close to getting him three years ago. The family finally said don\u2019t go, but that\u2019s changed now. I think Lane has another move in him.
