She\u2019s back when we needed her most. Hilary Duff<\/a> announced her return to music with her first single in 10 years, \u201cMature,\u201d out this Thursday, November 6. \u201cSo happy this is finally yours to hear. Been keeping this one quiet too long,\u201d Duff shared<\/a> on Instagram, announcing the title and artwork. Duff focused on acting for the last decade, starring in Younger and as the lead in How I Met Your Father. She also has a new team working alongside her since her last single, \u201cSpark.\u201d The Metamorphosis singer is working with her husband, music producer Matthew Koma, on upcoming songs. \u201cI always knew I was going to return to music. I needed to feel safe and I needed to have the right people in my corner and be absolutely 100% ready,\u201d Duff told Variety<\/a> on October 26. \u201cHonestly, I needed to have 10 years of life under my belt. I needed a lot to say. This album feels like the inner workings of my brain and I really am so excited to connect with people again on that level, that very forward-facing level.\u201d Finally, I can retire my weekly rewatch of Duff singing<\/a> \u201c9 to 5\u201d on Younger to satisfy the need for more of her music. Okay, maybe not retire fully.<\/p>\n Music isn\u2019t the only thing coming soon from the Disney Channel legend. She\u2019s working on a docuseries focused on her personal life and her return to the studio. There\u2019s no word on when the doc will come out, and it probably won\u2019t be a while, considering Duff\u2019s return to music is still happening. But we do know that it is directed by Sam Wrench, who worked on Sabrina Carpenter\u2019s A Nonsense Christmas<\/a> special and Taylor Swift\u2019s Eras Tour <\/a>concert movie.
