If you\u2019re after a new iPhone, but the latest models \u2014 the iPhone 17 series and iPhone Air \u2014 are just a little too pricey, then last year\u2019s models are more affordable choices. The problem is, two of the iPhone 16 series, iPhone 16 Pro and iPhone 16 Pro Max are no longer available from Apple. <\/p>\n

Not to worry, other retailers, like Amazon, have them at lower prices in refurbished condition. Amazon calls this Renewed or Renewed Premium. The premium is the top tier from Amazon and that\u2019s what I\u2019ll look at here, and for phones in unlocked condition so they\u2019ll work with any carrier. The good news is prices have dropped from even a week or two ago.<\/p>\n

Natural titanium is currently unavailable, as are unlocked models with the lowest storage of 128GB. Just one week ago, the prices were higher by $10 or more. That\u2019s not much of a discount, but it\u2019s going in the right direction, and it\u2019s $274 less than the original price new.<\/p>\n Choose 512GB storage and instead of the original new price of $1,299 from Apple, and Amazon has this model in natural titanium and black titanium for $869 in renewed premium condition, around $90 less than the renewed premium price in late August, and $430 lower than the original price new.<\/p>\n Finally, there\u2019s the biggest storage capacity, 1TB, and I\u2019m not advising you buy this. This phone used to sell new for $1,499, and is available in natural titanium in renewed premium for $1,099.97. Although that is $399 off its new sticker price, the same phone was available on Amazon last month for quite a bit less. One to swerve, for now.<\/p>\n Lower prices have also arrived for the larger model, the iPhone 16 Pro Max, available in Renewed Premium condition from Amazon here<\/a>.<\/p>\n For the lowest storage capacity, 256GB for the iPhone 16 Pro Max, which originally sold in new condition for $1,199, Amazon\u2019s prices are more than $270 less. Desert titanium and black titanium are both on sale for $921.60 ($277 less than the new price), natural titanium is $923.99 and white titanium is $928.97.<\/p>\n For 512GB storage, which originally sold in new condition for $1,399, it\u2019s now to be had in Renewed Premium for $1,034.97, a savings of $364. That\u2019s for all colors except black titanium which is $1,023.99.<\/p>\n The 1TB storage capacity is also available in all colors. This cost $1,599 when new. Now, it\u2019s available in natural titanium for $1,299.97, a discount of $299. However, all three other colors are much better value: $1,089, which is $510 less than the price when new.<\/p>\n
