\n\tJonathan Bailey<\/a> has been named People\u2019s Sexiest Man Alive for 2025.<\/p>\n

\n\tThe selection was unveiled Monday night on \u201cThe Tonight Show<\/a> Starring Jimmy Fallon.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cIt\u2019s an honor of a lifetime,\u201d Bailey said of the title. \u201cAnd I want to say, Jimmy, thank you so much for turning it down so I could be here.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\t2025 marks the 40th anniversary of the Sexiest Man Alive award. As Bailey sat down for his interview, Fallon unveiled Bailey\u2019s two covers. One features him chest deep in a rocky ocean, and the other features him shirtless while holding a fluffy dog. <\/p>\n

\n\tBailey explained he first heard he was the Sexiest Man Alive at the beginning of 2025 while appearing in a production of Shakespeare\u2019s \u201cRichard II.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cThe only thing madder than doing \u2018Richard II\u2019 was to be invited into this,\u201d Bailey said. \u201cAnd also in 2025, I\u2019m sort of thrilled that People Magazine has invited someone in, to bestow this honor on someone who can really cherish the value of a sexy man.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tWhen asked if he thinks people are going to treat him differently after winning Sexiest Man Alive, Bailey joked, \u201cI fucking hope so.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tBailey\u2019s was widely introduced to TV audiences in 2020 as the titular Lord Anthony Bridgerton on Netflix\u2019s royal drama series \u201cBridgerton.\u201d More recently, the British actor has broken onto the big screen playing Prince Fiyero in \u201cWicked<\/a>\u201d and Dr. Henry Loomis in \u201cJurassic World: Rebirth.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tPeople\u2019s Sexiest Man Alive feature has been an annual staple for the publication since 1985, with the first-ever honoree being Mel Gibson. 2024\u2019s winner was John Krasinski<\/a>. Other recent recipients include Patrick Dempsey, Chris Evans, Paul Rudd, Michael B. Jordan and John Legend.<\/p>\n
