Dubai Design Week<\/a>, Dezeen Awards 2025 party<\/a> and Designart Tokyo<\/a>\u00a0are among the key architecture, design and art events featured in Dezeen Events Guide<\/a> this November.<\/p>\n

Other events taking place during the month include Design Mumbai<\/a>, BDNY<\/a>, Hiroshima Architecture Exhibition<\/a>, World Architecture Festival<\/a> and the 15th Shanghai Biennale: Does the flower hear the bee?<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Hiroshima Architecture Exhibition<\/a>
4 October to 30 November, Japan<\/p>\n

21 architecture and art groups are taking part in the inaugural edition of Hiroshima Architecture Exhibition, including Kazuyo Sejima<\/a>, Tadao Ando<\/a>, Kenzo Tange<\/a> and Junya Ishigami<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Displayed are eight exhibitions in Onomichi City and Fukuyama City, with the works paying homage to Japanese<\/a> architects, including Pritzker Architecture Prize<\/a> winners and designers of historic structures.<\/p>\n

31 October to 9 November, Japan<\/p>\n

Designart Tokyo<\/a> has appointed Brave \u2013 The Pursuit of Instinctive Beauty as the theme for its 2025 edition, celebrating original design<\/a> that avoids formulaic patterns.<\/p>\n

The event runs for 10 days, hosting exhibitions<\/a> and parties across Tokyo<\/a>, including the group exhibition Designart Gallery, with the space designed by Hong Kong<\/a>-based architecture and design studio Collective.<\/p>\n

Dubai Design Week<\/a>
4 to 9 November, UAE<\/p>\n

The latest iteration of Dubai Design Week<\/a> hosts exhibitions, installations<\/a>, fairs, conferences and talks<\/a>, workshops and pop-up shops<\/a>, celebrating regional and international design<\/p>\n

Programme highlights include the Downtown Design<\/a> fair, located at the d3 Waterfront Terrace from 5 to 9 November, and the fair’s conference the Forum<\/a>, this year welcoming designers Tom Dixon<\/a> and Lee Broom<\/a>\u00a0as speakers.<\/p>\n

15th Shanghai Biennale: Does the flower hear the bee?<\/a>
8 November to 31 March, China<\/p>\n

Writer and curator Kitty Scott was appointed the curator of the 15th edition of the Shanghai Biennale, which explores the question: Does the flower hear the bee?<\/p>\n

The showcase, which takes place at the Power Station of Art, addresses communication and intelligence within design, and how they can connect the audience, exhibition and environment.<\/p>\n

BDNY<\/a>
9 to 10 November, USA<\/p>\n

Boutique Design New York (BDNY) returns to the Javits Centre, welcoming 700 exhibitors across the textiles<\/a>, furniture<\/a>, lighting<\/a> and art<\/a> sectors.<\/p>\n

Alongside the exhibition, the two-day trade show hosts an awards ceremony, talk series and networking opportunities, including the Women Leaders Breakfast.<\/p>\n

World Architecture Festival<\/a>
12 to 14 November, USA<\/p>\n

Miami is the host city of this year’s World Architecture Festival, which welcomes international architects for a programme of awards, talks, exhibitions, tours and parties.<\/p>\n

Located at the Miami Beach Convention Centre for three days, over 70 talks and seminars are taking place during the event, with speakers from practices Foster + Partners<\/a>, HKS<\/a> and BIG<\/a>.<\/p>\n

25 November, UK<\/p>\n

Dezeen Awards<\/a> hosts its annual party, spotlighting architecture, design and interior projects across 49 categories, including sustainability<\/a> projects and the 2025 Bentley Lighthouse Award.<\/p>\n

The evening includes food, drinks and entertainment led by former Scissor Sisters frontwoman, Ana Matronic.<\/p>\n

The awards ceremony takes place at Exhibition White City in London<\/a>.<\/p>\n

Design Mumbai<\/a>
26 to 29 November, India<\/p>\n

The second edition of Design Mumbai takes place in November, inviting architecture and design professionals to Jio World Garden.<\/p>\n

More than 80 brands are partaking in the trade show’s exhibition, installations and talks, including American Hardwood Export Council<\/a> (AHEC), lighting brand Baccarat<\/a> and\u00a0furniture brand Bl\u00e5 Station<\/a>.<\/p>\n
