Entering Week 11 of the College Football season, No. 1 Ohio State<\/a>, No. 2 Indiana<\/a> and No. 3 Texas A&M<\/a> stand firmly atop the sport.<\/p>\n

Two of these programs, Ohio State and Indiana, look to be on a path to collide in the Big Ten Championship Game. Unfortunately they will not play in the regular season, but dominant campaigns from the reigning National Champions and the Hoosiers have seemingly set this matchup in place.<\/p>\n

With just a few weeks remaining in the regular season, ESPN\u2018s Kirk Herbstreit was asked who he\u2019d currently pick between the two programs on the latest edition of \u2018The Ryen Russillo Show<\/a>\u2018. Herbstreit revealed that he\u2019d give the Buckeyes the slight edge on a neutral field.<\/p>\n

\u201cIndiana\u2018s real,\u201d Herbstreit said. \u201cLast year, I wasn\u2019t real high on Indiana. Nothing against them, but I just never really saw it against a great opponent. This year we have. One thing I really admire about Indiana is its consistency at the line of scrimmage. They\u2019re not a gimmicky offense in this day and age of \u2018we\u2019re going to run some form of RPO\u2019. I mean they do, but if you really watch them, they pound you into misery on both sides of the football.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ohio State and Indiana have steamrolled opponents this season<\/p>\n

\u201cWith that being said, Ohio State\u2018s skill and this quarterback Julian Sayin<\/a> (who I didn\u2019t know anything about), every single week he seems to take another step and another step,\u201d Herbstreit continued. \u201cWe know that he has NFL receivers everywhere. I\u2019d probably, on a natural field, but I\u2019d give Ohio State a three or four point advantage over them.\u201d<\/p>\n

Indiana sits at 9-0 (6-0) with quality wins against No. 3 Oregon<\/a>, No. 9 Illinois<\/a> and Iowa<\/a>, while Ohio State is 8-0 (5-0) with quality wins over No. 1 Texas<\/a>, No. 17 Illinois and Washington<\/a>. Of the 17 combined games that these two programs have played, just two games have finished within one score. Eight of the 17 games however have been won by 30-plus points.<\/p>\n

If you were to sum up the seasons played by Ohio State and Indiana, the word used would be dominant. However, we\u2019ve seen this song and dance from the Hoosiers before. Last season, Curt Cignetti<\/a>\u2018s team opened the year with a 10-0 record (winning games by an average of 30.1 PPG) but fell to the Buckeyes 38-15.<\/p>\n
