\n\tRep. Marjorie Taylor Greene<\/a> (R-GA) on Tuesday made her first appearance on what, in years past, would have been the most unlikely of places: ABC<\/a>\u2018s The View<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\n\tShe also continued her criticism of recent weeks, directed not so much at Democrats but House Speaker Mike Johnson<\/a> and the GOP\u2019s failure to address healthcare reform with their own proposal.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cWe should all be at work,\u201d Greene, sitting at the center of The View co-hosts, said. \u201cAll the people in this audience, they go to work every day. People at home watching this show, they go to work every day. Ladies, you go to work every day. The people on your set. And it is an embarrassment to me that we are not in session and getting paid.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tGreene said she has not been taking a paycheck since the government shut down at the end of October, as Democrats demanded that the GOP address the expiration of subsidies to the Affordable Care Act.<\/p>\n

\n\tAfter years of being a GOP firebrand on the attack against the left, during the protracted government shutdown she\u2019s popped up on mainstream media, including CNN, to criticize the GOP for not addressing Democrats\u2019 warnings of the pending spike in Obamacare premiums.<\/p>\n

\n\tJohnson has not called the House back to Washington since September 18. Even though the government is shut down, the Senate has been doing committee work and holding floor votes.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cMaybe you should become a Democrat, Marjorie,\u201d Joy Behar<\/a> said at one point.<\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019ll say this: I think both parties have failed,\u201d Greene said.<\/p>\n

\n\tWhoopi Goldberg<\/a> asked her about President Donald Trump\u2019s promises that he would lower grocery prices on day one, yet inflation continues to rise. \u201cMillions have lost their food stamps and are about to lose their health care while we\u2019re watching $40 billion to bail out Argentina. What is going on?\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tGreene responded, \u201cI don\u2019t know. I am so America first. I just feel like I live it and breathe it, and that\u2019s my district, and that\u2019s what people want. They are so tired of their hard-earned tax dollars being sent overseas, foreign wars and foreign aid and causes, while life in America just becomes more and more unaffordable.\u201d <\/p>\n

\n\tGreene said she still loves Trump, but asked by Behar whether \u201che may not love you back right now,\u201d she said, \u201cThat\u2019s okay. I mean, Donald Trump, he usually yells at everybody, so we are all used to it. But he\u2019s the president of the United States.\u201d<\/p>\n

\n\tGreene also said that she wanted all federal employees to be paid for the time they have been furloughed during the shutdown. <\/p>\n

\n\t\u201cI\u2019m with women, so I feel very comfortable saying this: I\u2019m really tired of the pissing contest in Washington, DC between the men. I really am,\u201d Greene said.<\/p>\n
