You’re no longer being bounced up and down. You get the commitment to get a place, and if you do get sent down after that, then the team has to cover it,” Elliotte Friedman said on his 32 Thoughts podcast.

Advertisement. Now Dickinson has permission to find permanent housing in San Jose.

There is still a chance he can return to the London Knights. As Friedman states, if Dickinson goes back, the Sharks would then have to pay for his housing, even if he isn’t living there.

With all that in mind, it is doubtful the San Jose Sharks would send Dickinson back to the OHL.

“It’s been pretty good so far. [Dickinson] played a good game the other night. [He] deserves to be here. He’s earned it,” Sharks coach Ryan Warsofsky said.

Advertisement. Misa has only played seven games, meaning there is still time for the Sharks to decide if they want to send him back to the OHL without burning a year of his ELC.

Dickinson and Misa have shared many experiences during their rookie season. Dickinson said the San Jose Sharks’ No. 2 pick reached out to him right away when he found out he was playing his 10th career game.

“Just the fact that we’re going through this together, and we’re in the same sort of situation. He was really happy for me when I found out I was playing. He was one of the first guys that came up to me,” Dickinson said. “I’m sure when he gets to 10, I’ll do the same thing.”

Dickinson skated with Shakir Mukhamadullin at practice on Tuesday. The team will now fly to Seattle to face the Kraken on Wednesday.
