He pointed to Beamer\u2019s past successes in Columbia as evidence that he can win, with a caveat.<\/p>\n
\u201cTo be able to sustain that over two, three, four seasons in a row, that\u2019s the hard part,\u201d Low mentioned. <\/p>\n
Low also believes that finding an offensive coordinator that can turn around South Carolina\u2019s fortunes in 2026 is going to be a heavy lift.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s going to be hard,\u201d he said. \u201cI don\u2019t think it\u2019s impossible. How many established OCs, quote unquote are going to come in? I do think that\u2019s a hard hire. Now, that doesn\u2019t mean they won\u2019t get somebody good or you won\u2019t get somebody that can help them get back on track offensively, but it won\u2019t be easy. To me, that will be interesting to see who that is and then what he does in the offseason.\u201d<\/p>\n
Low has seen enough of these situations to know that there\u2019s going to be more stress to win in 2026.<\/p>\n
\u201cClearly, it\u2019s been substandard for the Gamecocks on offense this year. Generally, when you start firing coaches on your staff \u2013 and this is not a given \u2013 then that means that you feel pressure,\u201d Low explained. \u201cThere\u2019s pressure outside that, hey, you\u2019ve got to fix this and fix it in a hurry.
