Hours before they were set to take the stage in Bristol, U.K., nu-metal act Blackgold announced they were not going to be performing as an opening act for CKY. Allegedly, some interpersonal issues cropped up between the band and CKY\u2019s guitarist\/vocalist Chad I Ginsburg. Word of the cancelation stems from a video posted by Blackgold (as trasncribed by ThePRP<\/a>) explaining their side of why they were no longer appearing on stage.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhat\u2019s happening people of Bristol? Unfortunately we will not make the show this evening. We can not do another gig next to the frontman of CKY. We can not support that type of narcissism. Our whole touring party just doesn\u2019t want to be around it. We want to play for you guys and we do this for fun, but this has turned not fun. We can not be around that guy.<\/p>\n

\u201cSo unfortunately, we are out. We will be back real soon to play another show. We thought this was gonna be fun, little bit of nostalgia to end the year for us, but it turned out to be absolutely horrendous. We can\u2019t support it. But hey, at least we got to see a really bad vocal cover of [\u201996 Quite Bitter Beings]. Fuck Chad.\u201d<\/p>\n

In the post\u2019s caption, the band gives a little more detail, making it sound like Ginsburg was just a massive dick to Blackgold and their people. Wouldn\u2019t be surprising, really, since this isn\u2019t the firist time Ginsburg has clashed with other acts. Last year, CKY was thrown off a U.K. tour with Alien Ant Farm when the CKY vocalist and Alien Ant Farm frontman Dryden Mitchell getting in an actual fight backstage<\/a>.<\/p>\n
