QB Julian Sayin\u00a0(92.7)<\/p>\n<p>\n\tFor the fourth\u00a0straight week, Sayin earned the highest grade among all Ohio State players. His offensive grade of 92.7\u00a0against the Nittany Lions was the best among all quarterbacks for Week 10 and his passing grade of 92.2\u00a0was the best in the conference.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tFor his 316-yard and four-touchdown performance against Penn State, Sayin was named the Big Ten Freshman of the Week.\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tFor the season, Sayin continues to lead\u00a0all quarterbacks in the FBS. His\u00a0passing grade is now 93.1, up from last week&#8217;s grade of 92.3. DT Eddrick Houston\u00a0(92.2)<\/p>\n<p>\n\tHouston earned the Big Ten&#8217;s\u00a0best defensive grade among players who were on the field for at least 10 snaps. WR Jeremiah Smith\u00a0(90.1)<\/p>\n<p>\n\tSmith&#8217;s overall grade of 90.1 and his receiving grade of 89.0 against Penn State were\u00a0the best in the Big Ten for the week.\u00a0For the season, Smith has an offensive grade of 88.0, which is third\u00a0in the nation among wide receivers with at least 2 receptions. His teammate, Carnell Tate, is ranked second nationally in the same category (89.9).\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tLike Houston, this is the first time for Smith to be among Ohio State&#8217;s top three PFF grades for a game this season.\n<\/p>\n<p class=\"related-box\">\n\tRELATED\u00a0<a href=\"https:\/\/www.elevenwarriors.com\/ohio-state-football\/2025\/11\/159189\/breaking-down-julian-sayins-superb-game-against-penn-state-as-ohio-state-quarterback-becomes-favorite-to-win-heisman\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">Sayin Superb Against Penn State<\/a>\n<\/p>\n<p>\tExtra Points<\/p>\n<p>\t\tMax Klare\u00a0ranked first\u00a0among all Big Ten players and second in the nation for his run blocking (85.9) performance against Penn State.<\/p>\n<p>\t\tArvell Reese\u00a0led the team in tackling (84.7) and rush defense (80.7).<\/p>\n<p>\t\tJoshua Padilla\u00a0was limited to seven snaps, but his 78.5 pass-blocking grade was best on the team.<\/p>\n<p>\t\tBo Jackson\u00a0earned a team-high running grade of\u00a074.8.<\/p>\n<p>\t\tNate Roberts\u00a0(48.1) had the lowest grade of any Buckeye with at least five snaps, with Carson Hinzman\u00a0(50.8) earning the second-lowest grade of any Ohio State player.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\t\tSonny Styles\u00a0leads all defensive players with a tackling grade of 91.4 for the season.<\/p>\n<p>\t\tKayden McDonald is tops in the Big Ten and ranks second in the nation among all DTs with a 91.1 grade in rush defense for the season.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\t\tJelani Thurman\u00a0has the top offensive grade (89.9) for tight ends in the Big Ten this year.<\/p>\n<p>\t\tCaleb Downs\u00a0has not been graded as one of Ohio State&#8217;s three best players in any of the\u00a0eight games this season.\u00a0\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\tPFFT<\/p>\n<p>\n\tIt&#8217;s surprising that Jeremiah Smith&#8217;s\u00a0and Carnell Tate&#8217;s PFF grades were not close to each other.\u00a0\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tTate and Smith had similar stats against the Nittany Lions, yet their PFF grades were worlds apart. Tate caught five passes for 124 yards and a touchdown. Smith had six catches for 123 yards and two touchdowns. Their stats are almost mirror images of each other, but Smith (90.1) graded out 12\u00a0points higher than Tate (78.1).\n<\/p>\n<p>\n\tWere Smith&#8217;s routes and run-blocking that much better than\u00a0Tate&#8217;s for there\u00a0to be that much of a gap between their grades?
