Apple has new iPhone features in the works for iOS 26.2, the next major software update that\u2019s currently in beta testing. Here\u2019s the expected release date for iOS 26.2.<\/p>\n
iOS 26.2 is coming in December, likely mid-month<\/p>\n
iOS 26.1 recently arrived<\/a> with upgrades to AirPods Live Translation<\/a>, Apple Music<\/a>, new customization tools<\/a>, and more.<\/p>\n But iOS 26.2 is already in beta testing with a release date not far off.<\/p>\n Apple has already confirmed<\/a> that iOS 26.2 will launch in December to all users.<\/p>\n Looking at the company\u2019s previous x.2 releases, however, we can get an even more precise idea of when the update will ship.<\/p>\n iOS 18.2: Wednesday, December 11<\/p>\n iOS 17.2: Monday, December 11<\/p>\n iOS 16.2: Tuesday, December 13<\/p>\n iOS 15.2: Monday, December 13<\/p>\n As you can see, Apple consistently ships iOS x.2 in mid-December before going on break closer to the holidays.<\/p>\n This year, iOS 26.2 could arrive around Wednesday, December 10. It\u2019s also possible we won\u2019t see it until the following week, on or around Monday, December 15.<\/p>\n The beta cycle for iOS 26.2 kicked off a bit later than usual, arriving on November 4 as opposed to last year\u2019s October 23 debut. Thus, launching by December 10 might be too ambitious. <\/p>\n Whichever week it ends up arriving, iOS 26.2 will ship to all users no later than mid-December.<\/p>\n New features available in iOS 26.2<\/p>\n So far in the beta testing process, iOS 26.2 is shaping up to be a strong release for new features.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s an overview of what\u2019s coming:<\/p>\n Overall, it\u2019s a pretty feature-rich release that offers more user-facing changes than what iOS 26.1 brought.<\/p>\n More new features might be added throughout the beta cycle too ahead of iOS 26.2\u2019s December launch.<\/p>\n Which new iOS 26.2 features are you most looking forward to?
