EUGENE \u2014 A second Oregon cornerback intends to transfer after the season.<\/p>\n
Dakoda Fields<\/a>, a top 100 recruit in the class of 2024, has left the program, Dan Lanning confirmed following Wednesday\u2019s practice.<\/p>\n \u201cHe didn\u2019t come to work today,\u201d Lanning said. \u201cWe haven\u2019t talked to Dakoda. I guess that\u2019s the way it goes nowadays.\u201d<\/p>\n On3 reported Fields intends to transfer. He had one tackle while playing in the first three games this season but has not appeared since and did not travel to Rutgers.<\/p>\n Fields did not play last season due in part to injury and could seek a medical hardship waiver to have three years of eligibility remaining.<\/p>\n He\u2019s the second Ducks cornerback to leave the program with the intent of transferring this week, joining third-year junior Jahlil Florence.<\/p>\n Their departures combined with Theran Johnson completing his eligibility will leave Oregon with five returning cornerbacks in 2026 and one commitment at the position.<\/p>\n A four-star recruit out of Junipero Serra High, the 6-foot-2, 200-pound Fields was ranked No. 90 nationally in the 247Sports Composite in the class of 2024.
