Promotion:<\/a> following the completion of The Shard and The News Building in London<\/a>, Shard Quarter presents its third and final landmark, Shard Place, a 27-storey glass building dedicated to luxury rentals.<\/p>\n

The completion earlier this year marked the third and final stage in the 2.5 million square feet mixed-use Shard Quarter.<\/p>\n

Designed by architectural practice Renzo Piano Building Workshop<\/a> (RPBW), the project began with the completion of The Shard supertall skyscraper<\/a> in 2009.<\/p>\n

\"Bird'sShard Place is designed by architectural practice Renzo Piano Building Workshop, and includes 176 homes available to rent<\/p>\n

Located in the city’s London Bridge neighbourhood, the three buildings include The Shard, The News Building, and Shard Place<\/a>, which sits adjacent to The Shard.<\/p>\n

Shard Place consists of a main, rectangular volume, rising 100 metres, with a shorter volume attached to the southern side. Both are elevated on pillars 16 metres above ground level, providing 13,000 square feet of public space.<\/p>\n

It features 176 furnished rental apartments and amenity spaces, including a club and spa, a cinema, and London’s highest outdoor rooftop swimming pool<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The rental apartments, which range from studios to three-bedrooms, were furnished by design studio State of Craft<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"TheIt sits next to The Shard<\/p>\n

The apartments were outfitted in four design palettes, which range from the Bermondsey Light collection \u2013 featuring off-white walls and white lacquered furniture \u2013 to the Borough Dark palette, which includes black oak furniture and gold accents.<\/p>\n

Some apartments have double or triple aspect views of the surrounding city, while all contain floor-to-ceiling openable windows, and most have naturally ventilated winter gardens.<\/p>\n

Art gallery Richeldis Fine Art<\/a> curated over 1,000 artworks throughout the apartments and building, including original works by creatives Lawrence Calver<\/a>, Carla Cascales<\/a> and ceramics by Rhian Jones<\/a>.<\/p>\n

\"ShardThe building’s entrance is situated on London Bridge Street, amongst 13,000 square feet of new public space<\/p>\n

The resident’s lobby also features a sculptural lighting piece by design studio Haberdashery, which was informed by the soundwaves of a recording of London Bridge rush hour nearby.<\/p>\n

Rentals are now open in the building, and according to the team, they meet a growing demand in the vibrant London Bridge neighbourhood, which is centred conveniently around London Bridge Station.<\/p>\n

“This vibrant yet historic neighbourhood combines world-class gastronomy, culture, and transport links on your doorstep, making Shard Place a best-in-class rental destination in the heart of London,” said head of residential at Real Estate Management (UK) Limited, George Hankinson.<\/p>\n

Development management company Sellar worked in collaboration with Real Estate Management (UK) Limited<\/a> (REM), which was responsible for the asset and property management of the project.<\/p>\n

The development sits just next to London Bridge station, which was refurbished in 2018 by Grimshaw<\/a> with sinuous grey canopies.<\/p>\n

Other recent projects by RPBW in London include the mixed-use building Paddington Square<\/a>.<\/p>\n
