This year\u2019s Alabama<\/a>-LSU in Tuscaloosa might have a different feel. Most years, both teams enter with a ton of anticipation and a little more than just a win\/loss on the line. But LSU is in the beginning stages of a new era for the program, recently firing head coach Brian Kelly<\/a>. The interim role will be occupied by Frank Wilson.<\/p>\n

Mark Ingram decided to call out LSU for the timing of moving on from Kelly. An extra spark might get lit underneath players due to Wilson\u2019s appointment. Not what Ingram wants just a few days before they face off against Alabama, the team he won the Heisman Trophy with.<\/p>\n

\u201cLSU, coming in,\u201d Ingram began<\/a> on The Triple Option podcast. \u201cI just hate all these teams firing their coach before they come play Bama. Just sulk in the sorrow and let us just run over you. Like, quit doing this. Quit trying to regain composure and regain momentum before you play Bama. This is always happening.\u201d<\/p>\n

Now, Ingram did say most of this in jest. However, Josh Pate<\/a> did discuss what kind of boost LSU might be getting from Wilson. He did so on Tuesday\u2019s Josh Pate\u2019s College Football Show<\/a> when previewing the game<\/a>. Whether or not the fire translates to on-field results, we will find out on Saturday.<\/p>\n

Ingram provided some analysis on what he thinks will play out from Bryant-Denny Stadium as well. He is rolling with the Tide, saying the best is yet to come for Kalen DeBoer<\/a>\u2018s bunch. Specifically, Ingram liked what can continue to come from the Alabama passing attack.<\/p>\n

\u201cI like us at home, man,\u201d Ingram said. \u201cI don\u2019t think we\u2019ve seen the best version of Alabama yet. We\u2019re throwing the ball really well. Ty Simpson<\/a>, Ryan Williams<\/a>, Germie Bernard<\/a>, (Isaiah) Horton<\/a> on the outside. We\u2019ve got to run the football better. But LSU, they just haven\u2019t been what we thought they were going to be since the beginning of the year.\u201d<\/p>\n

A win would put Alabama at 8-1 overall for the season. LSU, on the other hand, would be just three games away from seeing the year possibly ending. Currently at 5-3, one more victory is needed in order to play in a bowl game. Possibly something the players might try to attain for Wilson.
