Jordan Spieth’s golf shot off a cliff is once again making the rounds. <\/p>\n
It is the offseason for the majority of PGA Tour<\/a> golfers, but Jordan Spieth is going viral for a golf shot the star hit years ago. Amid the celebration of Halloween, social media was buzzing about some of the scariest shots in golf. <\/p>\n A viral video of Spieth\u2019s cliff shot at Pebble Beach reemerged as fans are still shocked the golfer risked his life in the epic moment. The shot came during the 2022 Pebble Beach Pro-Am as Spieth attempted a shot off the cliff of the par-4 eighth hole. Pebble Beach has since taken measures to make sure this is not even possible, but Spieth still gave us one of the most improbable shots in golf. <\/p>\n Spieth\u2019s caddie Michael Greller implored Spieth not to take the shot. The golfer did not take his caddie\u2019s advice, and Spieth later admitted he probably should have simply taken the extra stroke rather than attempt the shot off the cliff.<\/p>\n Wow. He should have picked up the ball. He shouldn\u2019t have been allowed to hit this shot. Not if you think the risk was dying. But I also, I felt I could whack it over the water with a 7-iron and get it up near the green. And I thought up near the green would be easier than hitting a 7-iron from 10 yards back. And, yeah, I think now knowing my son a lot better, he was really young at the time, I may not have hit that shot.<\/p>\n \u201c\u2026 I think I really messed things up by hitting that because I don\u2019t really know the solution. Other than shave it all the way so that, no matter what, it goes right in, and it has less of a chance of stopping short. I don\u2019t really know. Spieth\u2019s attention is now on getting healthy and attempting to return to top form in 2026. <\/p>\n \u201cNext year\u2019s going to be a really good year for me, I can feel it,\u201d Spieth noted in July, per Yahoo Sports.<\/a> \u201cIt\u2019s all coming along. I\u2019ll be healthy, and just structurally putting, the mechanics are all getting really, really close. <\/p>\n \u201cOne good offseason should get me nailed down to where I could be as good as I\u2019ve been.
