Ever wished you could have a pie flavored like Mountain Dew\u2019s bluest flavor? Well, even if you haven\u2019t, Taco Bell has you covered. The fast food chain released its Baja Blast pie<\/a> on Thursday, just in time for you to bring it to your Friendsgiving, the company said.<\/p>\n

Taco Bell first announced the Mountain Dew flavor-inspired Baja Blast pie at its Live M\u00e1s Live event in 2024, where it gave fans the inside scoop<\/a> on its marketing plans and new products. The dessert went viral<\/a> at the time, but fans would have to wait nearly two years to sink their forks into it.<\/p>\n

The fast food chain said the pie, which is bright teal and \u201cTropical Lime\u201d-flavored just like the soda, has been \u201creimagined\u201d as a \u201ccreamy, key lime-style dessert, featuring a graham crumb crust.\u201d It\u2019s being sold as a whole pie for $19.99 in stores while supplies last.<\/p>\n

So, how do fans feel about the new flavor? Based on responses to a Thursday Instagram post<\/a> from Taco Bell, many are thrilled to try the pie\u00a0and are willing to go to great lengths to obtain one. One enthusiast wrote, \u201cCurrently 6:54AM and am posted outside of Taco Bell so I can get one.\u201d Another commented, \u201cThe closest TB is an hour away but ill make the trip if you promise it will be there.\u201d<\/p>\n

Other fans who tried the pie loved it, with one writing, \u201cI\u2019m sad I only purchased one pie. I need this to last longer.\u201d One likened the flavor to \u201ca sherbet ice cream cake,\u201d and another wrote it was the \u201cbest pie I\u2019ve ever had.\u201d<\/p>\n

And it wasn\u2019t just the Taco Bell fans who had positive things to say. A writer for MassLive<\/a> was surprised to find the pie tasted \u201cpretty darn good.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cYou get the tartness of the lime as well as the sweetness of the Baja Blast,\u201d he said.<\/p>\n

A reviewer for Chowhound<\/a> also approved of the item, telling readers that key lime pie fans won\u2019t be disappointed. \u201cThe filling is sufficiently luscious with that hallmark juicy citrus tang,\u201d he wrote.<\/p>\n

At Insider<\/a>, one reviewer who was initially skeptical said: \u201cMixed with the pie crust and the white cream topping, it was well-balanced. Sweet, sure. Slightly unnatural, sure. But \u2026 it was good.\u201d<\/p>\n
