Alexander Zverev and Boris Becker\u2019s relationship has soured this year.<\/p>\n

Weighing in with his thoughts on the world number three, Becker<\/a> claimed he gets a \u2018bit of a headache\u2019 when thinking about Zverev.<\/p>\n

Firing back, Zverev said Becker was looking for \u2018attention\u2019<\/a> by talking about him.<\/p>\n

Becker\u2019s comments were made during a podcast he runs with former Grand Slam semifinalist Andrea Petkovic<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The 38-year-old has now given her verdict on the controversial dispute between two of the greatest players in German tennis history.<\/p>\n

Andrea Petkovic says Boris Becker always talks about Alexander Zverev with empathy<\/p>\n

In an interview with Eurosport Germany<\/a>, Petkovic commented on the disagreement between Zverev and Becker.<\/p>\n

\u201cIf you take that [quote from Becker] out, it sounds harsh,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cBut when Boris [Becker] talks about Sascha [Zverev] on the podcast, it\u2019s always very empathetic and solution-oriented.<\/p>\n

\u201cI see a few things differently from Boris.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe wants to take a very radical approach with him. But that\u2019s not my position.\u201d<\/p>\n

Petkovic then shared her assessment of Zverev\u2019s 2025 campaign and advised him on what he should do in 2026.<\/p>\n

\u201cYou simply have to see this season in the context that he wasn\u2019t 100 percent fit,\u201d she said.<\/p>\n

\u201cThat makes it all the more important that Zverev draws the necessary conclusions.<\/p>\n

\u201cI hope that he might streamline his tournament schedule a bit in the coming years.<\/p>\n

\u201cWhen you\u2019re no longer 18, 19, or 20, you have to plan a bit better.\u201d<\/p>\n

Zverev has played a hectic ATP Tour<\/a> schedule this year, competing in tournaments around the world.<\/p>\n
