Defeat to Aryna Sabalenka saw the curtain drawn on Coco Gauff\u2019s 2025 WTA Tour campaign.<\/p>\n

Finishing with a 1-2 record in her group, Gauff failed to reach the last four of the WTA Finals<\/a> in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.<\/p>\n

The defending champion would no doubt have hoped for more at the WTA Finals<\/a>, but can still look back on 2025 with a smile on her face.<\/p>\n

Gauff won several titles this year and maintained her status as a top-five player, an achievement that shouldn\u2019t be overlooked.<\/p>\n

But just how successful was Gauff\u2019s<\/a> 2025 season?<\/p>\n

The American number one won four titles this year, across singles and doubles.<\/p>\n

However, for all her success, there has been one major issue with Gauff\u2019s game in 2025: her serve.<\/p>\n

How does Coco Gauff\u2019s serve compare to the rest of the WTA Tour?<\/p>\n

When the double faults were piling up earlier this year, Gauff hired serving expert Gavin MacMillan<\/a> as her new coach.<\/p>\n

There has been some noticeable improvement, but when it comes to making double faults, there\u2019s just nobody quite like Gauff on the WTA Tour\u2026<\/p>\n

Making over 100 more double faults than anyone else this year, it\u2019s clear to see what Gauff needs to work on between now and January\u2019s Australian Open<\/a>.<\/p>\n

The double faults are a cause for concern, but where does Gauff rank compared to her WTA rivals in other key serving metrics?<\/p>\n

Luckily for Gauff, her serve hasn\u2019t stopped her from winning Grand Slams and competing at the highest level on the WTA Tour.<\/p>\n

As things stand, Gauff will finish the year ranked inside the top three for the third straight year.<\/p>\n

She could yet fall to world number four, however, if Amanda Anisimova<\/a> wins the WTA Finals.<\/p>\n
