Robert Pattinson couldn\u2019t hide his shock when he learned his \u201cDie My Love\u201d co-star Jennifer Lawrence once auditioned for \u201cTwilight.\u201d<\/p>\n

Ahead of the release of their new comedy-thriller film, Pattinson and Lawrence participated in Vanity Fair\u2019s \u201cLie Detector Test\u201d video segment, where the co-stars were able to grill each other with burning questions.<\/p>\n

While the twosome exchanged plenty of laughs, there was one standout moment: when Pattison asked about her audition for the YA vampire drama and if it impacted her stance on the \u201cTwilight\u201d vs. \u201cHunger Games\u201d debate.<\/p>\n

\u201d\u00a0You famously once auditioned for \u2018Twilight\u2019?\u201d Pattinson asked in disbelief. To which Lawrence replied, \u201cYeah, I auditioned for \u2018Twilight.’\u201d<\/p>\n

Yet, when asked if she regretted not booking the movie, the Oscar winner offered up a confident \u201cno.\u201d<\/p>\n

Pattinson further grilled: \u201cDo you think \u2018The Hunger Games\u201d is cooler than \u2018Twilight?’\u201d<\/p>\n

Much to Pattinson\u2019s surprise, Lawrence gave a truthful \u201cno.\u201d Though, she later joked that her answer proved \u201cthis machine [was] broken.\u201d<\/p>\n

As fans well know, Pattinson starred in the \u201cTwilight\u201d franchise as teen vampire Edward Cullen between 2008 and 2012, which helped skyrocket the YA genre into popularity in Hollywood. The film franchise made Pattinson and his co-star, Kristen Stewart, household names in the late \u201900s, early \u201910s.<\/p>\n

\u201cThe Hunger Games\u201d franchise \u2014 based off the popular YA dystopian novel of the same name \u2014 kicked off in 2012 and starred Lawrence as the female protagonist, Katniss Everdeen. The film series also assisted with Lawrence\u2019s rise to A-list stardom.<\/p>\n

Though, the movie would\u2019ve looked a lot different if Lawrence had booked the lead role of Bella Swan for the \u201cTwilight\u201d movies.<\/p>\n
