Chappell Roan<\/a> is known for her curly red locks, but on Friday, she debuted a major hair transformation, kissing her signature color goodbye. Appearing as part of a livestream announcement of the 2026 Grammy nominees<\/a>, the singer<\/a>, who received two nods herself, sported darker brunette tresses.\n<\/p>\n Still done in her typical curls, Roan paired the new ‘do with a sleeveless graphic top and a full face of glam, which consisted of gold, blue, and green eyeshadow, a powdered complexion, and rosy blush.\n<\/p>\n Chappell Roan on the Grammys 2026 nominees announcement livestream.<\/p>\n Recording Academy<\/p>\n Roan sported a similar hair transformation during her New York City<\/a> concerts in September.\n<\/p>\n Fan videos captured Roan on stage with butt-length, mahogany-hued coils. In one\u00a0TikTok<\/a>, Roan sings her hit song “The Subway” while a red leather ruffled thong bodysuit with a plunging keyhole cutout. But at least for now, it appears that Roan’s scarlet shade\u00a0got away.\n<\/p>\n The Grammy-winning performer has become known for her vibrant costumes and glam. Earlier this year, Roan released a video for “The Subway,” in which she has\u00a0Rapunzel-length hair<\/a>\u00a0that dangles from a balcony and gets caught in a taxi door.
