Nvidia (NVDA)<\/a> CEO Jensen Huang said the company is seeing \u201cvery strong demand\u201d for its new Blackwell chips. He said Nvidia\u2019s business continues to grow at a fast pace, driven by surging global demand for AI<\/a> chips.<\/p>\n

Speaking at an event hosted by Taiwan Semiconductor<\/a> Manufacturing Co. (TSM)<\/a> in Hsinchu, Taiwan, Huang said Nvidia not only builds the GPU but also the CPU, networking, and switches, adding that \u201ca lot of chips\u201d are connected to the Blackwell platform.<\/p>\n

The Blackwell series is Nvidia\u2019s newest and most powerful AI chip line. These chips are used in data centers and for training large language models, which are at the heart of the current AI boom.<\/p>\n

Chip Partners Boost Supply to Meet Nvidia Demand<\/p>\n

At the same event, TSMC CEO C.C. Wei confirmed that Huang had \u201casked for wafers,\u201d though details were not disclosed. The comment shows how strong Nvidia\u2019s demand is and how close its ties are with TSMC, which makes Nvidia\u2019s chips using its most advanced technology.<\/p>\n

Other major chipmakers are also stepping up production. South Korea\u2019s SK Hynix said last week that it has sold out its chip supply for 2026 and will increase investment, expecting an extended \u201cAI super cycle.\u201d Samsung Electronics said it is in \u201cclose discussion\u201d to supply its next-generation HBM4 memory chips to Nvidia, showing how suppliers are racing to meet demand.<\/p>\n

No China Sales Due to Export Rules<\/p>\n

Huang also said there are \u201cno active discussions\u201d about selling Blackwell chips to China. The Trump<\/a> administration\u2019s export rules have restricted such sales, saying the chips could aid China\u2019s military and AI development.<\/p>\n

Meanwhile, analysts expect strong revenue momentum into 2025, driven by broad adoption of the Blackwell platform across data centers and AI applications.<\/p>\n
