A ladies-only fitness studio is celebrating one year under new leadership.<\/p>\n
Curves Inverness is helping women across the Highlands get stronger, move better, and feel more confident.<\/p>\n
The ladies-only fitness centre delivers a 30-minute circuit combining strength, cardio, and flexibility designed to help women stay active, independent and ready for everyday life, from climbing stairs to playing with grandkids.<\/p>\n
Managing director Linda Bailey took over the franchise in 2024 and has poured her heart into it.<\/p>\n
She said: \u201cSport and fitness have always been part of my life. I played every sport I could – hockey, netball, athletics- and spent nine years in the Army, representing the Armed Forces in netball and athletics.<\/p>\n
\u201cBut I truly understood the power of movement when I faced my biggest challenge: breast cancer.<\/p>\n
\u201cIn March 2020, just before lockdown, I had a mastectomy. With everything shutting down, I relied on my faith, knowledge, and experience to guide my recovery.<\/p>\n
\u201cI held onto the belief that every challenge has a purpose and found strength in knowing I wasn\u2019t alone.<\/p>\n
\u201cThat\u2019s why Curves means so much to me. It\u2019s more than a workout – it\u2019s a place where women regain strength, feel supported, and lift each other up. No one has to do it alone.<\/p>\n
\u201cAs the Curves Inverness franchisee, I bring my experience – from sport, the military and my own journey -to help women feel strong, capable, and empowered.\u201d<\/p>\n
This month also sees the opening of Bailey\u2019s Wellness Studio, offering one-to-one support for women with health conditions such as poor circulation or reduced mobility. In Body full-body scans track progress beyond the scales, showing real change.<\/p>\n
\u201cIt\u2019s not an easy 30 minutes, it\u2019s effective,\u201d said Linda.<\/p>\n
\u201cAnd if members don\u2019t see results within four months, we\u2019ll give them their money back.\u201d<\/p>\n
