The current fear is that LSU<\/a> wide receiver Nic Anderson<\/a> suffered a season-ending injury on Saturday night at Alabama<\/a>, sources tell On3. Anderson injured his right knee in the third quarter and needed to be helped off the field. <\/p>\n

The Tigers have three games remaining in the season. An MRI is scheduled for later Sunday to confirm the news. After exiting the injury tent in the third quarter, he was taken to the locker room on an injury cart. He returned to the sidelines in street clothes on crutches.<\/p>\n

\u201cHe was gone from the game, and I think he was going to get some X-rays,\u201d LSU interim head coach Frank Wilson<\/a> said following the game. \u201cI\u2019m not sure beyond that, though.\u201d<\/p>\n

The former Oklahoma transfer has played in every game this season, catching 10 passes for 74 yards and two touchdowns. He played in just one game with the Sooners in 2024, due to a quadricep injury. Nic Anderson had a breakout freshman season in 2023 for the Sooners, posting 38 catches for 798 yards and 10 touchdowns. <\/p>\n

LSU\u2019s loss at Alabama on Saturday night brought the Tigers to 5-4 on the season with three games remaining. The trip to Tuscaloosa marked LSU\u2019s first game since it fired head coach Brian Kelly two weeks ago. <\/p>\n

The Tigers have remaining games against Arkansas, Western Kentucky and Oklahoma. It\u2019s unclear who will start at quarterback for LSU moving forward.
