SAN FRANCISCO \u2014 After resting at home for the past two games<\/a>, Steph Curry<\/a> will not return to the Warriors starting lineup for Sunday\u2019s home matchup against the Indiana Pacers on Sunday.<\/p>\n

He was listed as \u2018questionable\u2019 on Saturday, and head coach Steve Kerr had previously told reporters in Denver on Friday that Curry\u2019s condition had improved while recovering from an illness.<\/p>\n

However, Curry was downgraded to \u2018out\u2019 two hours before tipoff on Sunday.<\/p>\n

Curry battled through an unspecified illness in the team\u2019s 118-107 victory over the Suns at Chase Center on Tuesday, but was left coughing and sniffling afterwards. The 37-year-old guard then spent the team\u2019s next two road games away from the team, resting at home instead.<\/p>\n

Without their leader, the Warriors dropped games in both Sacramento and Denver and fell to 5-5 on the season.<\/p>\n

Those results fell in line with the Warriors\u2019 previous performances sans Curry. The team is now 74-113 without the two-time MVP in the lineup.<\/p>\n

In eight starts, Curry has averaged 26.8 points per game and 4.3 assists per game, and his talents, should he be healthy enough to play, will be sorely needed for the upcoming road trip.<\/p>\n

The Warriors begin in Oklahoma City against the defending champion Thunder, and then play a pair in San Antonio against the ascendant Spurs and their mega-phenom Victor Wembanyama. A short stop in New Orleans is followed by a back-to-back against likely playoff teams Orlando and Denver.<\/p>\n

The Pacers also enter the game extremely shorthanded.
