{"id":282371,"date":"2025-11-10T01:56:16","date_gmt":"2025-11-10T01:56:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/282371\/"},"modified":"2025-11-10T01:56:16","modified_gmt":"2025-11-10T01:56:16","slug":"unc-senior-seth-trimble-out-after-breaking-bone-in-arm-during-team-workout","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/282371\/","title":{"rendered":"UNC senior Seth Trimble out after breaking bone in arm during team workout"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Trimble scored 17 points in the Tar Heels&#8217; win over Kansas on Friday.<\/p>\n<p>CHAPEL HILL, N.C. \u2014 UNC men&#8217;s basketball senior Seth Trimble suffered a broken bone in his left forearm during a team workout Sunday and is expected to undergo surgery this week, the university announced.<\/p>\n<p>Team officials said the timeline for Trimble\u2019s return will become clearer after his surgery.\u00a0<\/p>\n<p>\u201cSo sad for Seth,\u201d head coach Hubert Davis said in a statement. \u201cHe\u2019s such a great kid and teammate and has worked so hard for his senior year. He loves being a Tar Heel, and we love him. The good news is he will be back at some point this year, and I know he will continue to be a great leader for us until he can get back in the lineup.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Trimble has appeared in 104 games over his career with the Tar Heels. In 2024-25, Trimble averaged 11.6 points, 5.0 rebounds and 1.3 assists per game.<\/p>\n<p>He scored 17 points and put up a strong defensive performance in UNC&#8217;s 87\u201374 win over Kansas on Friday.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"Trimble scored 17 points in the Tar Heels&#8217; win over Kansas on Friday.
