{"id":283288,"date":"2025-11-10T13:44:16","date_gmt":"2025-11-10T13:44:16","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/283288\/"},"modified":"2025-11-10T13:44:16","modified_gmt":"2025-11-10T13:44:16","slug":"butler-father-charged-with-homicide-in-death-of-2-month-old-son-wpxi","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/283288\/","title":{"rendered":"Butler father charged with homicide in death of 2-month-old son \u2013 WPXI"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">BUTLER TOWNSHIP, Pa. \u2014 A Butler father has been charged with criminal homicide in the death of his infant son. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Pennsylvania State Police said on Saturday, around 2:41 p.m., Butler County 911 received a report of a 2-month-old not breathing in the 100 block of Spooner Drive in Butler Township. <\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Police said that the baby had apparent bruising on his head and torso area.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">The infant was taken to Butler Memorial Hospital, where he was pronounced dead. A release from state police states that an autopsy performed on Sunday revealed that the cause of death was blunt force trauma to the head<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">State police in Butler interviewed the baby\u2019s father, Vincent Miceli, 32, and mother. Police determined that the infant was solely in Miceli\u2019s care throughout the day on Saturday.<\/p>\n<p class=\"default__StyledText-sc-tl066j-0 gJuxXh body-paragraph\">Miceli has been charged with criminal homicide, aggravated assault and endangering the welfare of children.
