The Boston Bruins will be without star forward Casey Mittelstadt for the foreseeable future.<\/p>\n
Mittelstadt suffered an injury during Thursday night\u2019s 3-2 overtime win over the Ottawa Senators. He didn\u2019t travel with the team to Toronto to play the Maple Leafs on Saturday, and now, Bruins head coach Marco Sturm gave an update and revealed Mittelstadt is week-to-week.<\/p>\n
\u201cHe\u2019s week-to-week, but I think he\u2019s doing better than we expected,\u201d Sturm said<\/a>, via Conor Ryan of The Boston Globe. \u201cSo hopefully we can get him on the ice as soon as possible.\u201d<\/p>\n Although Mittelstadt is feeling better than expected, he still will be out for a couple of weeks.<\/p>\n Mittelstadt is off to a hot start as he\u2019s recorded four goals and five assists for nine points in 15 games.<\/p>\n Story continues below advertisement<\/p>\n Marat Khusnutdinov moved up to center the top line alongside Morgan Geekie and David Pastrnak with Mittelstadt injured.<\/p>\n<\/p>\n Without Mittelstadt, the Bruins defeated the Maple Leafs 5-3 to improve to 10-7-0. Sturm was also impressed with the team\u2019s effort to get the win despite being without Mittelstadt and Charlie McAvoy.<\/p>\n
