Then, just days later, Domenico Teti left Wolves by mutual consent<\/a>, which was not overly surprising.<\/p>\n While he had been billed as a \u2018club hire\u2019, he was linked to Pereira having worked with him at Al-Shabab. Ultimately, his fate was tied to the Portuguese.<\/p>\n Teti had been Wolves\u2019 director of professional football, and he came to the club after a restructure that saw Matt Hobbs leave Molineux<\/a>.<\/p>\n His sporting director role was dissolved, and Wolves then formed a new leadership team consisting of Jeff Shi, Teti, Pereira, Matt Jackson and Matt Wild, with influence from agent Jorge Mendes and his right-hand man Valdir Cardoso.<\/p>\n With Domenico Teti<\/a> gone, some have wondered what\u2019s next for Wolves structurally \u2013 and Liam Keen has today shed some light.<\/p>\n Wolves could eventually restructure again after Domenico Teti exit Most Wolves fans would argue that the summer restructure did not work out for the best.<\/p>\n Indeed, it has been widely suggested that Wolves\u2019 recruitment in the summer of 2025 was the worst since Fosun<\/a> acquired the club.<\/p>\n Teti and Pereira were at the very forefront of Wolves\u2019 business in that window, and must take a lot of the blame for the current state of the squad.<\/p>\n With Teti gone, it now remains to be seen how the club will respond.<\/p>\n Liam Keen has said on the most recent E&S podcast that another restructure could take place eventually, although nothing is imminent for now.<\/p>\n He said: \u201cI think they have to bring someone in. You\u2019ve only got essentially one person there with actual sort of sporting expertise in Matt Jackson, if you will. Does he have the right experience for that role? I think it\u2019s questionable. I think you have to have someone in there that is going to add to the group.<\/p>\n \u201cMatt Jackson is going to still be a key part of that. You\u2019ve got Matt Wild. Jeff, of course.<\/p>\n \u201cIn terms of the actual football expertise, it\u2019s just Matt Jackson now. He\u2019s the person that\u2019s there, he\u2019s always been a key figure in that leadership team anyway. But I think you have to add to that.<\/p>\n \u201cIt has to be a structure that is well communicated and makes sense. It has to be a leadership group and the person who does come in has to be challenging and look at certain decisions and question them.<\/p>\n \u201cWe\u2019re not expecting any change (to the restructure) imminently. The long term answer is, I suspect they will look at restructuring moving forward. How that\u2019s going to work is anyone\u2019s guess.\u201d<\/p>\n 2025 summer restructure could prove to be Fosun\u2019s worst-ever decision at Wolves<\/p>\n The make-up of the Wolves hierarchy is going to be something worth keeping an eye on following Teti\u2019s exit.<\/p>\n Matt Jackson is now the most senior football executive at the club, but it seems Wolves are not opposed to an external appointment after Teti\u2019s departure.
