The Guess Who is a hard rock\/psychedelic rock band best known for \u201870s hits like \u201cAmerican Woman,\u201d \u201cThese Eyes,\u201d \u201cNo Sugar Tonight\/New Mother Nature\u201d and \u201cUndun.\u201d Bachman, 82, and Cummings, 77, were the group\u2019s principal songwriters.<\/p>\n
According to Ultimate Classic Rock<\/a>, Cummings terminated certain rights agreements on Guess Who songs last year to stop a new version of the band, featuring classic-era members Jim Kale and Garry Peterson, from performing them live. The \u201crisky and unconventional legal maneuvering\u201d gave Bachman and Cummings control of The Guess Who name.<\/p>\n Cummings and Bachman last performed as The Guess Who in 2003, but occasionally collaborated under the name Bachman-Cummings. The 2026 edition of The Guess Who is expected to feature Cummings, Bachman, Sean Fitzsimons (drums, vocals), Jeff Jones (bass, vocals), Nick Sinopoli (percussion, vocals), Tim Bovaconti (guitar, vocals) and Joe Augello (guitar, vocals).<\/p>\n Bachman, the father of \u201cShe\u2019s So High\u201d singer Tal Bachman, also recently revived Bachman-Turner Overdrive<\/a>, touring as BTO in 2023.
