iOS 26.1 launched last week<\/a> to all users, and among new features for Apple Music<\/a> and Fitness<\/a>, an alarm slider<\/a>, and AirPods Live Translation expanding<\/a>, the update also brought Apple Intelligence support to eight new languages.<\/p>\n

Apple Intelligence expands to many new languages in iOS 26.1<\/p>\n

Apple Intelligence recently entered its second year of availability, with the first features having debuted late last October in iOS 18.1.<\/p>\n

At launch, Apple Intelligence supported only US English, but Apple has steadily added new languages over time.<\/p>\n

Now, iOS 26.1 brings one of the biggest expansions to date, with eight new languages supported.<\/p>\n

Here are the new Apple Intelligence languages:<\/p>\n

Chinese (traditional)<\/p>\n

Danish<\/p>\n

Dutch<\/p>\n

Norwegian<\/p>\n

Portuguese (Portugal)<\/p>\n

Swedish<\/p>\n

Turkish<\/p>\n

Vietnamese<\/p>\n

In total, there are now 16 languages supported, not counting the various localized versions available for certain languages.<\/p>\n

The full list, per Apple\u2019s website, includes<\/a>: English, Danish, Dutch, French, German, Italian, Norwegian, Portuguese, Spanish, Swedish, Turkish, Chinese (Simplified), Chinese (Traditional), Japanese, Korean, and Vietnamese.<\/p>\n

For those just trying out Apple Intelligence for the first time, iOS 26 recently brought 20+ new AI features<\/a> to iPhone users, and even bigger changes are expected in the months ahead as part of iOS 26.4 and iOS 27.<\/p>\n

The former release is expected to bring<\/a> Siri\u2019s long-delayed AI upgrades, while rumors for the latter recently started spreading<\/a>.<\/p>\n
