{"id":285815,"date":"2025-11-11T18:54:07","date_gmt":"2025-11-11T18:54:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/285815\/"},"modified":"2025-11-11T18:54:07","modified_gmt":"2025-11-11T18:54:07","slug":"government-to-rethink-rejection-of-waspi-compensation","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/285815\/","title":{"rendered":"Government to rethink rejection of Waspi compensation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">Current Pensions Secretary Pat McFadden told the Commons that retaking the decision would not automatically lead to compensation.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">&#8220;Retaking this decision should not be taken as an indication that government will necessarily decide that it should award financial redress,&#8221; he said.<\/p>\n<p class=\"ssrcss-1q0x1qg-Paragraph e1jhz7w10\">The undisclosed evidence involved was a survey from 2007, and McFadden said that checks would be made to ensure other documents and surveys had not been missed.
