She\u2019s recovering from <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fieldhousefiles.com\/p\/fever-sophie-cunningham-out-season-mcl-tear-shey-peddy-signed\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">right knee surgery to repair a torn MCL<\/a>\u00a0\u2014\u00a0an injury she suffered in Connecticut back in August.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m like, \u2018holy shit,\u2019\u201d head coach Stephanie White said at the time. Because it was here we go again.<\/p>\n<p>It was also a game that was memorable for the emotions \u2014 and the team\u2019s response. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.fieldhousefiles.com\/p\/fever-largest-comeback-mitchell-38-vs-sun-ot\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">It was a historic comeback, rallying from a 21-point hole<\/a> to win in overtime. And it\u2019s the game the team points to as a turning point en route to Game 5 of the semifinals despite finishing the season with eight players unavailable.<\/p>\n<p>\u201cI\u2019m just so incredibly proud of them for continuing to believe, for continuing to pull together, for continuing to step up,\u201d White told reporters afterward. \u201cI mean, every single person on this roster impacts winning for us. And every single person on this roster is valued for how they impact winning, whether they play a second or not. They give and give and give to this team. And I\u2019m thankful for this group.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>Now three months later, Cunningham continues to make progress in her return. She\u2019s been traveling the country. She returned home to Missouri, went to New York City for an endorsement deal, and has spent time in Florida, where she\u2019s returning for the Pro-Am.<\/p>\n<p>Before heading to Florida, Cunningham returned to Indianapolis for a few days last week.
