{"id":289849,"date":"2025-11-13T21:29:08","date_gmt":"2025-11-13T21:29:08","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/289849\/"},"modified":"2025-11-13T21:29:08","modified_gmt":"2025-11-13T21:29:08","slug":"nfl-working-with-lawmakers-sportsbooks-to-limit-certain-prop-bets","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/289849\/","title":{"rendered":"NFL Working with Lawmakers, Sportsbooks to Limit Certain Prop Bets"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">The NFL said in a memo on Thursday that it is working with &#8220;state lawmakers and regulators, as well as [its] sports betting partners&#8221; to limit or outright prohibit certain types of prop bets. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">The NFL categorized the prohibited prop bets as follows:<\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">The memo comes in response to federal investigations into NBA and MLB players regarding cases of alleged gambling violations. <\/p>\n<p class=\"MuiTypography-root MuiTypography-bp_small__body__article__medium css-1vqr2el\">It also comes at a time when major sports leagues have signed lucrative deals with gambling companies following the Supreme Court&#8217;s decision to strike down the Professional and Amateur Sports Protection Act in 2018.
