The OnePlus 15\u2019s global launch is today<\/a>, but if you\u2019re in the US, you\u2019re going to be waiting a little while longer. Thanks to the (newly-ended) government shutdown, OnePlus is still waiting on its final FCC certification.<\/p>\n According to OnePlus, the lapse in government that began in the US on October 1st (and ended late last night) has resulted in the OnePlus 15 missing its final FCC device certification. Thankfully, this appears to be just the final step \u2014 approval of the company\u2019s formal application \u2014 rather than a series of unfinished tests, which means a functioning FCC could pick up the pace and approve this phone at any time. Until then, however, the device is being held back in the US, while a simultaneous launch in Canada carries on.<\/p>\n Here\u2019s the official statement from OnePlus:<\/p>\n As is the case with every smartphone manufacturer, the United States\u2019 Federal Communications Commission certifies OnePlus devices before they are sold in the U.S. As a result of the government shutdown, device certifications have been delayed. Subsequently, U.S. sales for the OnePlus 15 will be postponed until they have been secured. The OnePlus 15 has already finished all the required tests from the FCC\u2019s recognized labs and the certification application has been formally submitted. We are hopeful that approvals can be generated quickly and as a result, we can bring the OnePlus 15 to our customers in the U.S. expeditiously.<\/p>\n People who are interested in purchasing the OnePlus 15 in the U.S. should visit\u00a0OnePlus.com\/us<\/a>, enter their contact information, and they will be notified when the device is on sale. The OnePlus 15 will be available for purchase in Canada starting November 13, as scheduled, at\u00a0OnePlus.com\/ca_en<\/a>.<\/p>\n While we don\u2019t have much in the way of an expected window of availability, the only thing holding the OnePlus 15 and its massive 7,300mAh battery now is a backlog of applicants.
