As the Kansas City Chiefs<\/a> opened their training camp at Missouri Western University on Tuesday morning, just three players were not participating in practice: right tackle Jawaan Taylor, cornerback Kristian Fulton and tight end Tre Watson.<\/p>\n

Looks like full attendance for the initial practice, other than those listed on PUP: CB Kristian Fulton, OL Jawaan Taylor and TE Tre Watson<\/p>\n

Our Pete Sweeney noted<\/a> this was not unexpected. On Sunday, head coach Andy Reid announced all three would begin training camp on the team\u2019s Active\/PUP (physically-unable-to-perform) list.<\/p>\n

As we reported on Sunday<\/a>, they all missed time during Kansas City\u2019s offseason program. The Chiefs have confirmed that Fulton and Taylor are currently recovering from knee injuries<\/a>. Both were present for Tuesday\u2019s practice, but spent their time working with trainers.<\/p>\n

There was some other good injury news: It looks like the team\u2019s first-round draft pick Josh Simmons is fully recovered from the patellar tendon injury he suffered while playing for Ohio State<\/a> last October, since he began Tuesday\u2019s practice as the left tackle on the starting offensive line<\/a>. Newly-signed free agent tackle Jaylon Moore was in Taylor\u2019s spot as the starting right tackle<\/a> \u2014 while on defense, Jaylen Watson played as an outside cornerback across from Trent McDuffie<\/a> in the starting group.<\/p>\n
