On3\u2019s Brett McMurphy<\/a> reported early Saturday morning that UCLA\u2019s starting quarterback \u2013 the only quarterback who\u2019s thrown a pass for the Bruins this season \u2013 has been ruled out of Saturday night\u2019s game at Ohio Stadium.\n<\/p>\n\n\tIamaleava suffered a concussion in UCLA\u2019s loss to Nebraska last week, but concussion symptoms didn\u2019t surface until after the game, per McMurphy\u2019s report.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tSaturday night\u2019s game was supposed to be a return to the Shoe for Iamaleava, who played against the Buckeyes in last year\u2019s College Football Playoff as Tennessee\u2019s quarterback. Instead, it will be the first career start for UCLA backup quarterback Luke Duncan.\n<\/p>\n
\n\tA redshirt sophomore who was a three-star prospect in the 2023 recruiting class, Duncan has not attempted a pass all season \u2013 or at all in his UCLA career \u2013 as Iamaleava has thrown every pass for the Bruins this year.\n<\/p>\n
