{"id":292952,"date":"2025-11-15T09:47:07","date_gmt":"2025-11-15T09:47:07","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/292952\/"},"modified":"2025-11-15T09:47:07","modified_gmt":"2025-11-15T09:47:07","slug":"popular-golfing-range-to-reopen-after-months-of-construction","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.newsbeep.com\/us\/292952\/","title":{"rendered":"Popular golfing range to reopen after months of construction"},"content":{"rendered":"<p class=\"text | article-text\">HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) &#8211; The Ala Wai Golf Course Driving Range is set to reopen Saturday after about ten months.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">\u201cWe\u2019re excited to reopen the Ala Wai driving range and are looking forward to welcoming back all the golfers,\u201d said Ed Kageyama, owner and founder of Hawaii Golf Advisors.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Planned renovations caused the driving range to close temporarily on Jan. 31.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">City officials initially planned to reopen the driving range in the spring, but it was delayed.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Officials said <a href=\"https:\/\/www.honolulu.gov\/mayor\/ala-wai-driving-range-to-temporarily-close-beginning-january-31\/\" target=\"_blank\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" title=\"https:\/\/www.honolulu.gov\/mayor\/ala-wai-driving-range-to-temporarily-close-beginning-january-31\/\">the closure was necessary to enhance safety and accessibility.<\/a><\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The Ala Wai Golf Course remained open and was not impacted by the construction.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Before the closure, city officials said crews would work on vehicular and pedestrian access bridges and revitalize the driving range grounds.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">Officials said the city\u2019s Golf Division also assessed the facility and reviewed plans during this time.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">New changes include new turf on the driving range, repairs to the irrigation system, new hitting mats, stall dividers, and range balls.<\/p>\n<p class=\"text | article-text\">The driving range will be open daily from 6:30 a.m. to 11:00 p.m., with the following pricing:<\/p>\n<p>Small bucket (35 balls) $10Large bucket (70 balls) $15Rental clubs for $45<\/p>\n<p class=\"copyright |\">Copyright 2025 Hawaii News Now.
