This would come after Apple\u2019s earnings report in late January, giving the new leadership team time to settle into their roles before Apple\u2019s big events like the Worldwide Developers Conference in June.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 65-year-old Cook has been Apple\u2019s chief executive since Steve Jobs resigned in 2011; he\u2019s now served as CEO <a rel=\"nofollow noopener\" href=\"https:\/\/www.macrumors.com\/2025\/08\/01\/tim-cook-apple-ceo-for-longer-than-steve-jobs\/\" target=\"_blank\">for longer than Jobs<\/a>. Under his leadership, Apple has grown from a market capitalization of $350 billion to $4 trillion, although the company has apparently <a href=\"https:\/\/techcrunch.com\/2025\/10\/11\/its-not-too-late-for-apple-to-get-ai-right\/\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\" target=\"_blank\">struggled to find the right direction with AI<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">No final decisions have been made about Cook\u2019s successor or the timing of his departure, the FT says.
