Everything I had tried previously didn&#8217;t work. I did Slimming World, [but] all those sorts of things didn&#8217;t work for me, probably because I wasn&#8217;t being honest and dedicated to myself. I just did it for me and I was patient and I had to realise all the mistakes I had made year after year.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"11\" class=\"css-19ghd8k emevuu60\">Filling out a daily<a href=\"https:\/\/www.womenshealthmag.com\/uk\/food\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.womenshealthmag.com\/uk\/food\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\" food\" data-node-id=\"11.1\" class=\"body-link css-7bauu1 emevuu60\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\"> food<\/a> diary meant she could get a more accurate, realistic gauge of what she was consuming and, according to <a href=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/3am\/celebrity-news\/lisa-rileys-12-stone-weight-36208567\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.mirror.co.uk\/3am\/celebrity-news\/lisa-rileys-12-stone-weight-36208567\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"The Mirror\" data-node-id=\"11.3.0\" class=\"body-link css-7bauu1 emevuu60\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">The Mirror<\/a>, it helped her identify the days when she wasn\u2019t making the healthiest choices. <\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"13\" class=\"css-19ghd8k emevuu60\">Overhauling her diet played a huge part in her dropping eight dress sizes. Speaking during another This Morning appearance, she described her previous food choices: &#8216;My vice is crisps \u2013 that\u2019s the one thing I find it hard to say no to. <a href=\"https:\/\/www.womenshealthmag.com\/uk\/healthy-drinking\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.womenshealthmag.com\/uk\/healthy-drinking\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"Alcohol\" data-node-id=\"13.5\" class=\"body-link css-7bauu1 emevuu60\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Alcohol<\/a> was my comfort blanket. The Malbec I love would be accompanied by feel-good food the next day \u2013 bread that was swimming in butter.&#8217;<\/p>\n<p data-journey-content=\"true\" data-node-id=\"15\" class=\"css-19ghd8k emevuu60\">Typical lunches comprised a toastie with fries and a fizzy drink, reports <a href=\"https:\/\/www.hellomagazine.com\/healthandbeauty\/health-and-fitness\/2018042748177\/lisa-riley-weight-loss-workout\/\" target=\"_blank\" data-vars-ga-outbound-link=\"https:\/\/www.hellomagazine.com\/healthandbeauty\/health-and-fitness\/2018042748177\/lisa-riley-weight-loss-workout\/\" data-vars-ga-ux-element=\"Hyperlink\" data-vars-ga-call-to-action=\"Hello!\" data-node-id=\"15.1.0\" class=\"body-link css-7bauu1 emevuu60\" rel=\"nofollow noopener\">Hello!<\/a>, while chocolate bars, sandwiches and bowls of cereal constituted snacks. Pasta and white bread were also in regular rotation. She has now reduced her portion sizes and includes more nutrient-dense options and fresh food. Breakfast often consists of porridge and honey; lunch could be butternut squash soup with oatcakes; and dinner is cod with roasted vegetables.
